Overview
About us:
We’re a mid-sized company in the security and brand protection world. That’s a fancy way of saying we create the technology that stops counterfeiters and helps companies and governments protect their products. Our team is small, we’ve been around for a while, and we (mostly) enjoy our work.
We’re not looking for a temp or a “cog in the wheel.” We’re hiring a long-term member of our team as the sixth member. Someone who values stability, reliability, and doing important work.
The Job:
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who loves precision and understands that in security printing, details aren’t just details, they are the design.
You’ll work primarily in our own custom software, creating and preparing secure graphic designs for printing. This is not a classic “creative agency” role. Creativity matters, but accuracy, structure, and consistency matter even more.
This role is a great fit if you enjoy combining creativity with a technical mindset and can stay calm when deadlines get tight.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing:
- Becoming proficient in our own vector graphic software. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you everything.
- Working with our team. You’ll talk to clients, designers, project managers and other technical people, and you’ll need to be great at explaining complex issues in a simple, clear way.
- Designing secure printed materials. Such as documents, labels, packaging, and variable-data items.
- Integrating anti-counterfeit design elements. Microtext, guilloches, security patterns, hidden elements, etc.
- Working with micron-level precision, ensuring flawless balance and alignment.
- Prepare print-ready files and double-check everything before production.
- Reviewing samples and drafts to ensure compliance with internal security standards.
- Helping us get better. If you see a way to make our system more user-friendly or efficient, we’re all ears.
This Job Is for You If…
- You are experienced in vector graphic design (Illustrator, Affinity, Inkscape, etc.) or in the digital printing industry.
- You have a strong visual sense and genuinely good eyes for balance and precision.
- You’re proactive. When you see a problem, you try to solve it instead of ignoring it.
- You are obsessed with details. You’re the person who always double-checks your work, actually reads the instructions, and spots the typo everyone else missed.
- You like structure and precision as much as creativity.
- You are reliable. Seriously. You’re a dependable, steady person who takes ownership of your work. In a small team, we all count on each other.
- You stay cool under pressure. This is a low-error-tolerance job. You need to be able to stay focused, follow the process, and not get flustered.
- You are interested in learning a wide range of skills. There are many other tasks you can learn and help with. Documentation, technical licenses, preparing useful files for the future, VDP (Variable Data Printing).
This Job Is NOT for You If…
We want to be really transparent, because we want you to be happy here for a long time. This job isn’t for everyone. This role probably isn’t the right fit if:
- You dislike repetitive, highly focused work.
- You’re looking for a purely creative, concept-driven design role. Here you will need to work with products smaller than 10 cm. There is not much space for pretty things.
- You get easily stressed. When a problem pops up, we need a calm, logical head to troubleshoot it, not a panic button.
- You want the traditional career ladder. The organization is quite flat, so it is difficult to move upwards, but we are flexible with horizontal movements, though. If something interests you in the company, we will find a way.
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves, Not Deal-Breakers):
- You have any experience with security printing or brand protection.
- You’ve worked in project-based jobs.
- You have a technical attitude and are not afraid of numbers.
What’s in It for You?
- Starting salary between 600,000-750,000 HUF (gross) depending on experience.
- A meal allowance of 37,500 HUF is provided in the form of a SZÉP card.
- Travel allowance for public transport or car.
- After a full year with us, you will be eligible for 2 months of extra salaries and an annual bonus.
- Annual salary correction. In other words: you will get more money every year.
- A team that’s got your back. We’re a small, supportive group. No big egos (except the big boss, but don’t tell him), just people who want to do good work.
- Work that actually matters. You’ll be on the front lines of fighting fakes and protecting consumer products. It’s pretty cool if you are into these things.
