Requirements

  • Active student status in one of the Hungarian Universities for at least the next 6 months
  • Who preferably has their major in the field of finance/accounting
  • Ready to contract for 20-30 hours in a week – we can provide more flexibility during exam periods
  • Fluent English mandatory, both written and oral
  • Proactive in identifying issues and finding solutions with high analytical skills.
  • High level of comfort and ease in working with MS Excel – Excel VBA knowledge is a plus.

The company enters into contracts with customers to sell various products (i.e. printers, printer cartridges, spare parts, software, etc.) and render connecting services (i.e. extended warranty, installation, maintenance and professional services, etc.). These are often offered as bundle package and result in complex arrangements with customers (called “Managed Print Services or MPS”) requiring high attention from accounting perspective to ensure that these are accounted for in line with the revenue standard ASC 606 (being convergent with IFRS 15) and the recently implemented lease accounting standard ASC 842 (being convergent with IFRS 16). These complex arrangements can also involve combination of the above-mentioned accounting standards to further add to the complexity.

Revenue recognition team as part of Global Business Services located in Budapest is responsible for contract analysis, revenue allocation between the above-mentioned hardware and service elements and the revenue recognition process itself. The team is very dynamic and supportive, successful applicant would have the opportunity to learn and apply the ins and outs of the relevant US GAAP/IFRS standards.
