
Overview
Junior Airport Development Manager
Purpose:
Supports the Senior Airport Development Manager in negotiating and contracting airport, ground handling deals, and marketing programs. Manages business and contractual relationships with airports, tourism bodies, and other stakeholders while identifying and presenting new airport opportunities in coordination with Network Development and Scheduling.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess low-cost airport opportunities
- Build and manage relationships with airports and ground handling partners
- Attend industry conferences and forums
- Handle contract negotiations with legal support
- Monitor airport cost changes and ensure updates
- Act as a key contact for commercial matters
- Provide market intelligence and competitive insights
- Support airport budget planning and cost-saving initiatives
- Assist with new base openings and related logistics
- Manage airport/Ground Handling Agency selection tenders
- Supervise invoice checks and process improvements
Key Performance Indicators:
- Meeting contract deadlines
- Achieving best cost levels per airport/service provider
- Reducing unit costs YoY
Requirements:
- College/university degree
- Fluent in English (additional language is a plus)
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience in purchasing, sales, or airports (preferred)
- Financial modeling and analysis skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Self-motivated with ownership and responsibility mindset
- Ability to work independently and exceed goals
